Firewood

Firewood

Farmer's and Sportsmen's Conservation Club has a standing wood cutting Committee. In 1992 the northern most part of the club property was commercially logged, and the treetop were left. It was decided that these treetops could be cut, split and sold to help raise money for conservation activates for the club. Since 1992 the committee has cut, split, stack and sold over 200 cords of firewood, raising over $27,000 for conservation. In January 2004 the southern half of the property was also logged, and there now is another two years of firewood to be cut and split. The committee meets every Saturday morning at 9:00 AM, and works to noon.

If you wish to purchase firewood, the wood is a mix of (Oak, Maple, Ash, Beech, and some softwood).
