Pistol Range

Pistol range

The Farmer's and Sportsman's Conservation Club Pistol range is neatly tucked in the wooded valley behind the trap and skeet ranges and just west of the trout stream. This is the safest and least expensive range located in Sheboygan County. The fees for range use are only $1.00 for members and $2.00 for guests that are accompanied by members.

New Rule: As of May 5th 2005 it has been decided to allow .22 Caliber Rimfire Rifles on the pistol range. No rapid fire rule still applies and no Centerfire Rifles allowed.

The range consists of two wooden backstops for paper targets separated by 5 wooden "shelves" where items can be placed to fall when struck.

The range has shooting lines from 10 to 25 yards and 3-D concrete blocks mark the range lines at 5-yard intervals.

You must provide your own paper targets, plastic bottles or bowling pins but clay pigeons are provided in the range box and are replenished weekly. Pushpins, range rules, sandbags, and other miscellaneous shooting accessories will also be provided in the range box and will vary as supplies are used and replenished.

Shooting house

Due to the enormous 100+ foot high backstop that the targets are built into, your projectiles will safely stay in the dirt and ricochet hazards have been evaluated and minimized.

There is room for up to 6 shooters to be shooting at a time. If shooters wish to shoot at different distances, a 7th movable target has been provided and can be placed on the range at any distance or location within the confined of the range.

A shooting bench is located at the 25 yard-line and can seat 4 shooters at a time. A barricade is also provided for more experienced shooters and law enforcement to practice behind.

This range has been designed as a great training range for teaching people of all ages safe pistol handling and weapon confidence building. Consideration has also been placed on facilitating a range for honing fine marksmanship skills for competition shooters and law enforcement.

This is the finest, safest, and most peaceful outdoor pistol range in Sheboygan County. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
